Renay Scales, Ph.D

Dr. Renay Scales has served as a senior administrator and faculty for almost thirty-five years. She has been employed in health care, electrical utility, and in higher education. For over twenty years, Dr. Scales has also been a leader with the National Coalition Building Institute. Dr. Scales currently directs faculty development at Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine and teaches in family medicine. Her research focuses on ethics, equity and cultural competence. She and colleagues recently completed a book chapter, “ Women of Color in the Academy: From Trauma to Transformation” in a book being published this spring.
