Jeanette Liberty, Esq.


Jeanette Liberty, Esq. is the director of the legal studies program at San Jacinto College in Houston, Texas. She has a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science from Montclair State University and obtained her Doctorate of Jurisprudence from Widener University School of Law in Delaware. Ms. Liberty has been a licensed attorney for 16 years and is licensed to practice law in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.  After passing the bar exam, Ms. Liberty completed a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Jo-Anne B. Spatola, JSC. Upon completion of her appointment, Ms. Liberty entered private practice as a litigator and later became a partner at a local law firm. After her relocation to Houston, Texas, Ms. Liberty joined the faculty at San Jacinto College where she teaches Constitutional Law, Contract Law, Family Law, Torts and Personal Injury Law, the Law of Evidence, and runs an internship program.  Ms. Liberty has been a featured presenter at many local, state, and national conferences where she speaks on subjects including teaching teamwork and leadership, parliamentary procedure, achieving personal success, and instructional strategies.
