Dr. Esther Lawrence
Dr. Esther Lawrence boasts 20 years of professional experience in higher education. She is Brooklyn-born and Caribbean-raised. She represents the Caribbean federation of St. Kitts and Nevis and is very proud of her Kittitian heritage. She attributes her professional success and personal values and morals to her Caribbean upbringing. She is also a first-generation college graduate. She currently holds a doctorate in Organizational Leadership from Stockton University in Galloway, NJ, a Master of Arts in Media Studies from the New School in New York City and a Bachelor of Arts in English Writing Arts from SUNY Oswego in Oswego, NY. Dr. Lawrence has developed a heightened emotional intelligence along with impeccable communication and problem- solving skills. She is a passionate scholar-practitioner, qualitative researcher and an advocate for diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging in the workplace, particularly among the Black diaspora. Her research interests include organizational culture, organizational leadership, intersectionality, CRT and immigrants of African descent. She is devoted to cultivating safe spaces to reflect and to strategize on addressing the adversities of underrepresented groups. She is committed to student success, staff and faculty empowerment, and organizational success. Dr. Lawrence currently serves as an Assistant Dean in the School of Business at Stockton University.
