Travel to New York City/NJ
We take care of all the conference details, but you will need to arrange your own transportation to and from the airport, conference location, restaurants, attractions, and your hotel. If you won’t be joining us by staying at the official conference hotel, be sure to check the proximity of your hotel to the conference location, as students often tell us that being close made their experience that much better.
If it would take you more than eight hours to drive to this conference, NSLDC recommends that you consider flying. New York/New Jersey has three major airports: John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and LaGuardia (LGA). And Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) are other airports that may provide cheaper or more convenient flights.
NSLDC recommends using New York’s/ New Jersey’s plentiful, convenient, and inexpensive taxi, train, bus, or the famed subway as your primary means of traveling through the New York Metropolitan area. The NYC/NJ PATH train is located right outside of the host hotel and is the most affordable and convenient way to travel.
